Meet Rachel! She has been our College & Career Readiness Project Manager for six months now. Since joining the Alignment Rockford team, Rachel says her greatest joy is bringing together key community stakeholders to support RPS students to be prepared for life after high school.

In the year ahead, Rachel is excited to develop more creative ways for the community to support local students in a virtual environment.

Outside of work, Rachel has a passion for education and has volunteered with KFACT, Golden Apple Foundation, Rockford Lutheran, Junior League of Rockford and the American Cancer Society. She is always looking for ways to give back and support our community.

Fun Fact: Rachel knows the entire “Thriller” dance and coordinated Thrill the World in Rockford to help raise funds for area non-profits. Thrill the World is an annual international dance event where participants simultaneously emulate the zombie dance from Michael Jackson’s "Thriller.” Dancers perform in unison at locations throughout the world and can range from pre-teens to the elderly.

If you’re looking for something fun to do in our area, Rachel suggests taking a trip to Rock Cut State Park. She says it is a beautiful place to relax. She also claims Panino’s fresh baked bread is the best!
