ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) — Social media may be one of the most popular marketing channels to exist today. Thanks to a local conference on Wednesday, businesses will learn how to use it to their advantage.

Winnebago Buy Local will host Social Rock on Monday, May 20 at Prairie Street Brewhouse. The social media marketing conference is geared toward local business owners, employees and entrepreneurs.

It will include experts and national speakers who will help attendees enhance their business presence and visibility online. Presentations will cover digital paid advertising strategy, story-driven social media, content marketing, and more.

Local vendors will also be in attendance at the conference, including Catalyst Design and Photography, who will be providing professional head shots for $10. All proceeds will go towards Alignment Rockford!

Ticket sales for the conference end Thursday. If you would like to purchase a ticket, click here.

Alignment Rockford

At Alignment Rockford, we advocate for and work on behalf of the youth in our region. It is our duty to honor those we serve in how we solve problems by ensuring an equitable process to create solutions. You can count on us to help build a community of inclusivity by putting those that are living the experiences – or closest to the problem – as part of the solution. Afterall, people adopt the change that they are part of making.

We look forward to working alongside you, our friends, to continue our work to give the next generation a solid foundation to build successful lives.
